November 30, 2019 -- Narrows Bridge
This picturesque bridge with its unique railings is a favorite spot for photographers, and make it one of the most photographed places in New Hampshire. There were 4 separate photographers trying to do Senior Pictures on the bridge the day I was there.
The Narrows Bridge, located at the south end of Chocorua Lake and crossing over the outlet into Little Chocorua Lake near Tamworth, New Hampshire was originally built in 1802. The wooden plank bridge and railing have been rebuilt numerous times over the years. Each time the bridge was rebuilt, it had a slightly different railing pattern and longer approaches, but the railings were always built by local craftsmen & volunteers using locally cut spruce logs. The current railings were built in 2011.
