March 8, 2017 -- Reflections on The Cane
Night shot of a "flag of lights" and lighted statement of Natchitoches, Louisiana reflecting on the Cane River National Heritage Area.
Natchitoches (Pronounced “Nack-a-tish”) is the oldest settlement in the Louisiana Purchase. Established in 1714 by Louis Juchereau de St. Denis as part of French Louisiana, it still retains its European flavor of architecture, heritage and lifestyle. A more modern “claim to fame” is that this quaint and perky town is well known as the film site of the movie Steel Magnolias and is said to be the Bed & Breakfast Capital of Louisiana.
