This is an interior shot of the old church (yesterday's daily -- http://smu.gs/2nRz6vz) at Shiloh, Tennessee that was at the center of the famous Civil War battle of 1862.
The original "Shiloh Meeting House" - is a one-room log structure with crude handmade furnishings - was built by the Southern Methodists about 1853, nine years after the church had split over the slavery issue. It is from this unassuming structure, whose name ironically translates to "place of peace," that the battle would derive its name
